The Avocet R line, part of an extensive series of spinning reels from the French company Mitchell, consists of nine models, which can be divided into two more groups. The first, with the abbreviation FD, has a front friction brake, and the second (with the abbreviation RD in the name) has it at the back. But all of them are united by a strict design and execution in black color with small emerald inserts. For the manufacture of the body and rotor, a durable composite material is taken, and aluminum is used for the spool. In order to protect the handle from breakage during storage or transportation, it can be folded, pressing it closer to the body. It is also possible to install the handle yourself on the right or left side. Of the remaining characteristics, we note the presence of three bearings, a backstop system and a reverse switch flag.
